Con motive del cierre de la exposición La Ciudad Arde de Ada Onwuasoanya, ORA Contemporary y DIASPORA te invitan a una noche dedicada al amor: el que se crea en comunidad y se comparte.

SOBRE LA ARTISTA
La práctica de Adaora Onwuasoanya Martínez se construye desde una relación consciente con lo cotidiano, entendiendo la experiencia diaria como un espacio donde conviven lo visible y lo invisible. Su trabajo lo protagonizan la naturaleza, la tecnología, la presencia y la soledad no como ideas abstractas, sino como estados que atraviesan lo humano y lo conectan con el todo. Su obra parte de la observación atenta y de una escucha profunda, donde la magia y la muerte se hacen presentes cuando la consciencia está plenamente puesta en el cuerpo y en el entorno. Lo natural no aparece como paisaje, sino como algo indisociable de lo humano, una fuerza viva que acompaña, transforma y confronta. En un momento de consolidación de su carrera, desarrolla una práctica honesta y situada que busca sostener la tensión entre lo cotidiano y lo esencial, generando espacios de reflexión y vínculo a través del arte.

Adaora Onwuasoanya Martínez’s practice is built on a conscious engagement with the everyday, understanding daily experience as a space where the visible and invisible coexist. Her work centers on nature, technology, presence, and solitude—not as abstract ideas, but as states that traverse the human condition and connect us to the whole. Her art arises from careful observation and deep listening, where magic and mortality appear when awareness is fully placed in the body and surroundings. The natural world does not appear as a mere landscape, but as something inseparable from humanity—a living force that accompanies, transforms, and challenges. At a pivotal moment in her career, she has developed an honest and situated practice that seeks to sustain the tension between the everyday and the essential, generating spaces of reflection and connection through art.
